While a GuardTree Used Car Warranty provides extensive protection on most automotive parts, there are some exclusions. The following items are NOT covered:  

  • Emission systems, safety restraint systems and software components that are not specifically listed in the agreement 
  • Exhaust systems components, except exhaust manifolds 
  • Mobile phones used for keyless entry systems 
  • Electronic transmitting devices 
  • Carbon fiber components 
  • Shop supplies 
  • Failures related to rust or corrosion  
  • Maintenance services and components such as: shock absorbers, struts, mounts, bearing plates, standard transmission clutch assembly, friction clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, manual linkages, door, trunk and seat handles, manual transmission shift linkages, glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, LEDs, fuses, batteries, weather strips, trim items, mouldings, bright metal, chrome, upholstery, carpet, paint, outside ornamentation, bumpers, body sheet metal, panels, frame, structural body parts, tires and wheels.
